Smiling baby?

Question

My baby is 7 and a half weeks old and I know that babies start socially smiling around this time. I’ve gotten a couple little smiles out of him, but I’m worried that he doesn’t smile as much as other babies his age. How often are your nearly two month old babies smiling socially?

I thought our baby was so miserable because she wouldn't smile 😭 around 9 or 10 weeks she really started to smile. Now she does it all day especially when she wakes up after nightime or a nap! Be patient, its well worth the wait ❤

We laugh cause she hasn’t smiled yet when she’s awake... she is scowls all the time though!!!

Husband bought headbands that were huge...I’d scowl if i had to wear that too.

Every once and a while when she’s sleeping I’ll catch a smile though.

My 7wk old smiles after I change her, but she just looks at my husband and smiles up a storm, I think shes just so use to seeing me all day everyday that I'm not as exciting. My first didnt start smiling til she was 3 months.

My little boy smiles at me in the morning after mostly dad on night feeds and then dad when he gets back from work because I do all day feeds, just used to seeing you. Also loves getting his nappy off!

My little girl has been smiling like this since she was 4 days old. I thought this was her real smile. She smiles like this when anyone is talking to her.
