I breastfeed and very seldom do I give baby a bottle. Maybe one time a week. Well at his pediatricians appointment his doctor asked me how often he breastfeeds and I told him about every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. He seemed concerned so he then asked when I do give him a bottle how much does he drink. He usually drinks 2 - 3 ounces. He told me that baby needs to be eating every 4 hours and that I need to start making him wait so that he will eat more at a time. Well baby boy cries and cries anytime I try and make him wait and I always give him in, I feel like I am starving him. 🙁 I just don’t feel like a 10 1/2 week old baby should be feeding only every 4 hours. How often are you mommies breastfeeding? & how much do they usually eat if given a bottle??
