Here is my birth story almost 4
Months later. Sorry it's a long post.
It was July 2nd and I was 38 weeks pregnant. I had a regular prenatal check up. They checked my blood pressure and it was 146/84. I was told to go straight to labor and delivery to get monitored and to get my blood pressure re checked. So my husband and I go to L&D and they check my blood pressure and it did go down. They didn't want to risk it though and said they were going to induce me. They place cervadil at my cervix to help soften my cervix. I started to feel contractions about 45 minutes later. They kept it in for 12 hours. They then put a balloon in my cervix to help me dialate more since I was already 2 CM dilated. It's now July 3rd and it's been 5 hours since I was last checked and I'm now 4 CM dilated. I then beg for the epidural cause by then I'm completely exhausted and in a lot of pain. My husband has been sleeping in his bed for 6 hours cause he had been at work the night before and didn't get out until 4am on July 2nd. I finally dilate to 6 cm 3 hours later. My sons heartbeat kept dropping and they kept checking me and I wasn't dilating past 6 CM. My doctor stretched me to 8 cm. Then checked me an hour later and I was back at 6 CM. They ended up having to do a C-SECTION cause baby wasn't getting any lower and I couldn't seem to dilate past 6 CM. My husband held my hand the entire time during my c section. He kept me calm by talking to me and helping me take deep breaths when I started freaking out. Meet baby Michael. Born on July 3rd at 5:40pm weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces 19 and a half inches long. Thank you to those who read this entire post. I was in labor for over 12 hours. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Michael is an amazing perfect little boy. He already sleeps through the night. He does have acid reflux and colic but he is getting better with medication.
