My poor little manšŸ˜

Shawna

This is our son Luca. I gave birth to him on 9/29 after an easy pregnancy and no complications this is the last thing I thought would ever happen. On Monday of last week we noticed a small red area near his wrist with what looked like some kind of bug bite. After multiple trips to his pediatrician we were sent to the hospital for testing due to the lack of movement from the left arm. Here we are at Boston childrenā€™s hospital where he has already undergone multiple blood tests, MRI, spinal tap, ultrasounds and a surgery. We found out Luca got an infection in his wrist bone as well as in his blood. He was diagnosed with MRSA. They think he contracted it either through the wound on his head from an assisted vacuum birth or his circumcision. 1/3 are carriers for this and fro what we have been told it was just ā€œreally bad luckā€ that Luca contracted this. Our sweet boy is a fighter and we are so blessed that we caught this so early. We are going to be in the hospital for up to 6 weeks because of this. Never not trust your gut instinct. If you think something is wrong with your baby get them checked out ASAP. We are very lucky that our boy is still with us. ļæ¼
