We use distilled white vinegar to clean almost everything in our house. I dilute it 50% with hot water for mopping. I have a spray bottle with a mixture of 2 cups water, 2 cups vinegar, 1 tsp dish soap (you can use seventh generation or something similar) and 2 tbsp regular hydrogen peroxide. I use the spray bottle for counter tops, tables, etc.

@MountainMist No, I’m from Pittsburgh, Pa but my mom was from Whitewater, Wisconsin!

Would you happen to be from Wisconsin? 😁 Not trying to be creepy, lol, but everyone I know from there almost exclusively uses vinegar to clean!

Thank you so much. I had seen something similar on Pinterest actually that I’ve been meaning to try just as a cleaning solution but I didn’t know it was baby safe as well!! I just hate for my LO to get sick as she’s starting to try and crawl and her silly self likes licking my floors 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

If you have wood flooring I’m not sure what you could use, but if you have tile then just use warm water and a little vinegar and dish soap. I personally just use a steam mop. So it’s literally just distilled water (to avoid any hard water mineral streaks) and I add a tsp of white distilled vinegar to it. And just run the mop over the floors. No chemicals used at all.

I use Dr. Bronners Sal Suds for all of my floors (wood, tile, travertine, and marble). It’s nontoxic (it has an A rating on EWG) and it won’t etch your natural stone floors the way that vinegar can. It does an incredible job cleaning floors, but you can also use it for countertops, toilets, showers, windows, walls, laundry, and dishes!

@Kristen I buy mine at my local grocery market, but it’s available on Amazon. It might even be available at Target because they sell other Dr Bronners products. It has a very mild pine smell from the natural fir and spruce essential oils.

Just just started doing it and I’m like girl what is you doin 😂 she’s very stimulated by different textures and feels so I guess she thought she needed to see how it feels with her tongue too 😂

If you have tile or steam safe floors look into a steam mop. It cleans and disinfects the floor.
