How to prepare for impending miscarriage?

Just had my first appointment. We had originally scheduled an appointment for when I was further along. I’m only 7 weeks. I started having bleeding, similar to a period and scheduled an immediate appointment. During which the ultrasound showed the fetus heart beat was between 74-84, compared to a healthy ~140bpm. In addition there was unidentifiable small mass that was encroaching the sac. They aren’t certain if it’s a clot that will resolve in time... We essentially left today being told to prepare for a miscarriage. How does everyone else prepare for this outcome?
