First time tampons

So I’m 14 & I’ve had my period for maybe 3 years now & all for a sudden I got the courage to try using tampons. I tired it & im pretty sure it’s in but when I walk or sit down it’s feels a bit uncomfortable? Does this mean it’s not fully in or is this just normal?!
