Longer period on pill

Ive been on rigevidon since march anf have noticed my periods are a little heavier and last longer (like 7/8 days mostly just spotting after main bleed) than when i wasnt on the pill. I was also on rigevidon a few years ago but it made my periods lighter? Is this normal.
