How to stop TTC?

We are in month 14 of trying. The first 6 months I didn't ovulate and then got on meds. After 3 more month of trying with no luck we found out I had appendicitis. I had emergency surgery and have ovulated on my own since.
My husband did the YO at home sperm test last night and it said he has less than 6 million count with low mobility. All this time trying, crying and hoping is wasted. Our odds are slim to none.
How do I get this out of my head? My whole life I have dreamed of a big family and now we will be lucky to get just one.

Don’t believe an at home test. My husband did one and it said low count but when we went to the fertility doctor and had a real test done he actually had a high count

I wouldn’t trust a at home test for something this big. Book an appointment and get it tested properly

We did the home count because my husband is super self conscious. He doesn't like to masterbate and definately doesn't like to do it outside of our home. Now that we have gotten this result we are looking at going to get a test professionally done.
Honestly I don't want to waste anymore time. We are calling around to midwives to see if someone can assist with sperm washing and IUI.

I agree with everyone else about getting a real semen analysis done. Also,  I’ve read about different lifestyle changes and vitamins/supplements that can help with semen problems

A proper semen analysis done at a fertility clinic will only cost about $100 out of pocket. Before you give up completely, get the test done so you have accurate results to work with.
