DivaCup/menstrual cup for TTC?? Thoughts plz

Anyone use a divacup or menstrual cup to try and get pregnant and it work?

I used a softcup and it worked for me. When sperm motility is an issue for infertility it is a great guide. Only the fast sperm will reach the cervix in seconds. The rest of the healthy sperm can stay alive in the vagina for about 3 days. Keeping the sperm close to your cervix for a few hours by using the softcup can help with conception. It was worth the risk of getting an infection considering a lot of women get a UTI etc during thier first trimester anyways. I personally did not get a uti etc. I only used the softcup on day of peak ovulation and day after.

I’ve seen this before and don’t even understand the concept. A menstural cup doesn’t go right up against your cervix so the sperm would still be hanging out in the bottom of the cup unless you’re laying down for a long time in which case like the other poster said- UTI central for sure.

Sperm gets where it needs to go in seconds. There’s no need to keep it inside you for longer than a couple minutes.
Using a diva cup to hold the semen inside you for long periods of time, will only increase your chance of a UTI or infection.
