Any smart finance people/car gurus?
I am making payments on a 2012 Audi Q5 that has 95k miles on it and I still owe a little over 12000 on it. However my dad is a car guru but not always the best in making financial decisions and told me to trade my vehicle ASAP before it reaches to 100k and turns 8 years old by January. He thinks its best I trade in the vehicle for something new with much lower mileage before I start having problems. I think its a good idea but my anxiety is very very high right now because I have bad credit (525) and no money for a downpayment. I am about to give birth in November and thinking about car stuff is the last thing I should worry about but my dad says how important it is that I trade it or sell it ASAP before problems start; I really dread having car problems while taking care of an infant. He thinks German cars are not good anymore after 100k but he never owned one before. I need feedback from others who actually have experience with German cars going past 100k. Or any financially smart people on here that can help me out on what to do?
