Should I induce?

Question

I have the option to choose to be induced at 39 weeks because it is a lower risk of c-section. 
This is my first baby and I also have a 6 inch cyst on my left ovary that keeps growing. 
Should I choose to be induced or should I just wait it out? I have no idea what to do and I need advice!

I think you should speak at length to your doctor (or multiple doctors if possible). You need to make the best decision for yourself and your child. 
Really no one here can advise you, since it seems to be a medical necessity. I know it’s scary, but you have to trust your doctors advice. Making hard choices is part of parenting but you can do this!

I highly advise you to watch the business of being born, they talk a lot about inducing and its actually drs and nurses. It’s available on YouTube. I was induced and I wish I waited to naturally go into labor. I’ll just leave it at that lol

My sister was induced with both babies and both deliveries ended up being a breeze...she had both within an hour of being at the hospital 🙌🏼

Low risk of section means nothing you might be induced and be in labour for days and still have the section esp as first time mom, I've been there sometimes it's just easier to have the planned section you recover so much better then emergency

I’ve been given the same option by my doctor as well. I think it all depends on you and what you’re comfortable with! So many women on this site as well as in my life have told me their negative opinions of induction and all the things that can go wrong. Then I’ve had women share positive stories of induction. It really can go either way. 
I, for one, trust my doctor and that he’s putting mine and my baby’s needs first (he also wants us to have the highest chance of vaginal birth possible). My doctor is loved and trusted by many and he knows what he’s talking about. I also like the idea personally about having a set date to plan around and be ready for (unless she comes early lol) since I have high anxiety. I’m actually waiting at an appointment now to discuss a possible induction date as I type this.
So do what feels right :) and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for whatever decision you make, induction or no induction. It’s up to you and your doctor to decide together ☺️

There is a study that had been done over the last few years that actually says that first time moms being induced at 39 weeks can lower the c-section rate by almost 5%. If you look up Sarah lavonne on YouTube, she talks all about the study that was done. But end all, you need to talk with your provider about the pros and cons and just know that potentially, your induction could take a while especially if you are a first time mom.
