Is this a safe way to sleep?

My room gets really cold at night because of my window. Can I swaddle my newborn AND put her in a sleep sack?

No. Newborns cannot self regulate their temperature so therefore that actually might overheat her. Just do a sleep sack or swaddle but not both.

Do a warm sleeper under the swaddle and that should be plenty.  I keep my heat set at 65F and my little preemie stays very warm that way.

Babies only need one more layer than you typically. I would do a long sleeve onesie & either swaddle or sack. But, definitely not both. That would over heat her.

I would just do one or the other. With my boys when they were infants my house at night was always COLD like AC on 60 type cold because that’s the only way I could sleep and still to this day it is. I have them wear long sleeve pj shirt and pants or a onesie sleep outfit. Though they would still sweat at night and still to this day they do. It’s easier for them to get overheated I guess.

I don’t need both. Just dress her in warm jammies/sleeper and the swaddle. That still may be warm for her
