My daughter is a week old today. When we left the hospital, she had lost more than 10% of her body weight. I was determined to make sure she gained weight by the time she had her 1st appointment with the pediatrician. Today was the day!! Yay my baby girl gained weight!! I was so happy! Met the pediatrician and she started to ask questions about any disabilities within our families. I suddenly grew worried and my eyes started to water. My husband just grabbed my hand and told me not to worry. The pediatrician is worried that my baby girl has down syndrome!! 😞😞😟😟 since we left the office, I have been on and off crying. I am so worried about the obstacles she could be facing. I immediately called my mom and she told me not to worry as well. For what i did not know, I was also tested when I was born. My testing came out negative.
