My son turned 2 on June 19 and was potty trained the beginning of August. He is still in a crib but some are saying I should put him in a toddler bed. I want to but I’m nervous about it. He has a set routine and sometimes tells me when it’s bedtime if I’m distracted. The problem is his bedroom is on one end of the house and my bedroom is on the other end of the house so it makes me nervous that I won’t know if he’s out of bed but would like him to be able to come to my room in the morning because I have an 11 week old and often am having to stop nursing her to go get him out of the crib and a couple times I haven’t heard him calling me through the monitor and this has caused him to pee his pants in the morning

Should I transition him? If so should I keep him on his crib and transition that? Or put him in a whole separate bed?

His crib is a 4-1 but when moving I lost the support bar at the bottom that I will need to make it a daybed so not sure if I can order a new one?

He also has a fire truck bed and a normal toddler bed.

Which do you think would be easier for him? Any advice is appreciated
