Hi all! I had my beautiful baby girl Paola in February 2018. While I was pregnant they found I had dermoid cysts in my ovaries (solid teratomas, the kind with hair and teeth in them). One was the size of a plum and the other the size of a grapefruit. They told me to allow time to heal from my emergency c-section before we considered removal. We checked a few months later and they had grown a bit, so we decided on surgery September 2018. We ended up finding out we were pregnant at the beginning of November 2018 and on December 3, 2018 I suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks. It was the worst thing I’ve ever gone through and we were crushed. They couldn’t pinpoint why, but I just know it was because my ovaries were too weak still. We’ve been trying to conceive since January and recently I’ve been feeling familiar symptoms, but I don’t want to get my hopes up. I’m 8DPO and I couldn’t contain myself so I took a test yesterday and for a split second I saw a second line and then it disappeared. My ovaries have been achey, my breasts are sore to the touch, Shake Shack burgers taste horribly, and I’m extremely nauseas. Could this be it? How long should I wait before I test again? 😩🥰
