Flu Season! Are you getting your flu shot?

I am unreasonably freaked out about getting flu shot so early in my pregnancy. Have others gotten theirs? Thoughts?

I’ve never had one, didn’t get one with my first & won’t this time around either. I’ve also never had the flu. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I never do. They just guess what staring to vaccinate for and often get it wrong. I'm not interested in putting unnecessary shit in my body.

I got my flu shot already.  I got it last year when I was 15ish weeks with my daughter.  I think you’d be foolish not to get it. Getting the flu while pregnant can have dire effects on the fetus.  Why risk it?

I never had the flu until my daughter started Kindergarten last year. We both got it twice and it was miserable. She also has asthma, so we definitely got flu shots in this household this year.

Just got mine today. I am required to by my work. 
I did do some research before hand and then reached out to my OB before getting it so early along and all. Make sure you don’t get a vaccine that’s from a multi dose vial, it contains a preservative that the single vials don’t that pregnant women really shouldn’t have.

I got it early on with my daughter and right before I gave birth with my son. I always get my flu shot

I had one about two weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I think that covers baby?

All scientific evidence suggests getting the shot is the safest thing for you and your baby. I’ve booked in, I’ll be around 8 wks at the time. Most people don’t get the flu, but if you do it’s really bad for your pregnancy.

I definitley plan to get one but I plan to wait til after my 1st checkup at 8 weeks/once I talk to my midwives! 👍

I already got my flu shot a week before I found out I was pregnant. So I’m kinda worried now. With my last pregnancy I got it when I was already 8 months and she’s happy and healthy today ❤️😊
