Any crosstrek owners?

Question

My hubby and I are looking into getting a newer crosstrek for our next vehicle. Does anyone have one and what do you think? What we really want to know is how does it drive in snow? We live in new England so that's definitally important to know! Let me know your opinions!!! Thank you in advance!!

My brother bought a new Crosstrek last year and loves it. He lives in North Dakota, and says it handles well in the snow. It is a sedan rather than an SUV, so the lower clearance can make it a little tough to navigate through snowdrifts and deep accumulation. The all wheel drive does make for good traction and handling in bad weather. It does also have a large enough motor for some towing capacity, if that's important to you.
I own a Subaru Forester. I love the compact size that makes it easy to navigate in small spaces, but the increased clearance makes it easier to deal with potholes, snowdrifts, mud, ruts, and other road hazards.
In a cold climate, I'd argue that heated seats are a must! The rubber all-weather mats are also with the cost, in my opinion.

I bought one in April! I live in Texas so no snow but we do get crazy rains & our roads are filled with pot holes. And let me tell you, I am OBSESSED! I love everything about the way it drives, the center of gravity is low but you get the space of an SUV. Speaking of space, the interior is super roomy, even my brother who is 6’4” can sit comfortably in the back seat! 
I was between the Crosstrek and an Escape, which I had wanted for years. I drove a 2019 of each & ended up hating the Escape after just sitting in it.
