alright, kind of long, but i’d appreciate it if you could read it all

so growing up my family is very religious. that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but a lot of opinions got imposed on me that i later grew to disagree with. my mom, for example. i absolutely love her more than anything, but she’s very against homosexuality. she never says anything to people who are, but she makes a lot of offhand comments about it that i really don’t like. i’m not homosexual, but i know my fair share of people who are and i wish my mom would understand that you can’t condemn people just because of their sexuality. i want to talk to her about it, but i don’t know how to bring it up without sounding like i’m the one trying to do the parenting. (my parents are kinda old fashioned and think they’re the only ones that can tell our family what to do)
