NT ultrasound at 12 weeks

Hi mamas,

I had my NT ultrasound today at 12 weeks. Doctor came in afterwards and said that the baby has a lump on its forehead. There were two eye sockets, nose, mouth, but the lump was somewhere around/between the eyes. Besides this lump, no other abnormalities were seen and she said it was not fluid filled. NT measured 1.0. She said it could either be a lump of skin or hemangioma best case scenario. Worst case would be an encephalocele. Next step is to talk with a genetic counselor. Going to proceed with more testing, but just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this and what the outcome was. Thank you!
