Sore throat after oral sex

So on Saturday I went out with this guy and I gave him head. Now I was having a sore throat on and off before Saturday, but now it’s coming more frequently. I know I’m probably overthinking it and I’m more than likely catching a cold. Maybe it’s because I’m trying to break it off with him because I don’t think we’ll work out. But has anyone ever gotten a sore throat after oral sex and been ok?
