When to start rice cereal ?

My 15 week old is eating 6oz and is still acting hungry after . He wakes about every three-four hours to eat . My family has kept telling me about rice cereal in his milk at night ? I’m thinking about starting soon

Never, it’s disgusting. Actually taste it, I did and could never have given it to my bub. Doctor said it’s not necessary anyway, everyone’s different. 🙂

You can start whenever you feel ready. Rice cereal had my son constipated, the oatmeal cereal was easier on his digestive system.

We do rice cereal in the formula bottle at night for the same reason. Unfortunately it did not help her sleep for longer stretches. 😣

I've read that rice cereal isn't recommended anymore; oatmeal has more nutritional value. Do some research! I'll be starting with "real" solids not cereals so I don't know much on this topic.

We started at 4 months. Pediatrician recommended we try. She still doesn’t sleep through the night tho lmao

We do oatmeal twice a day, and he’ll be starting yellow veggies tomorrow per his pediatrician. :)

We started rice last week and did oatmeal this week. Im going to try a comb of the 2 next week. He is doing great with a morning and evening bottle with about 3 tablespoons of oatmeal. We just tried a spoon tonight and ate about 1/2 a tablespoon 😊
