It's been a rough first 2 weeks..

Un

Had my planned C section 10-4, which went great! Besides puking once they got me on the operating table due to the spinal block 🥴 this expierence compared to my emergency c section with my first has been amazing! They aren't lying when they say the second/planned is easier.

Baby boy came out great! He peed everywhere instantly all over everyone 🤦‍♀️ however sadly because of my blood type and his there is a incompatibility and it caused high bilirubin levels. So they immediately had to throw him under the lights. It was so hard to watch our new baby just lay there and couldn't even hold him unless it was to feed. His levels finally went down by the day I was getting discharged so he was in the clear to leave with us. Or so we thought.

We had to do a couple follow up testing to make sure his levels wouldn't increase, but they did. They got scary high, so our pediatrician immediately readmitted us to the hospital. They then decided on doing a IVIG treatment and had to go back under the stupid lights. We thought it worked, we thought everything was great again and we got to go home as long as we continued to do follow up lab work again.

Once again they were increasing, and fast. Our pediatrician then had us go to childrens hospital for additional testing where we found out he had a b12 deficiency. After getting the shot for that we had to go back to our hospital and start the light treatment once again.

And that's how these first two weeks have been going 😔 I'm hoping we are done, they say third time's a charm and I'm praying it's true.

Anyways here's some pictures of our new addition 💙

Also if you actually read this and have any good ideas on a thank you basket for the nurses I'd love to hear them!
