I never did until I had kids! Since we have another baby in the house my husband, myself, and our toddler will all be getting the vaccine. Our toddler’s in daycare so we want to protect our infant as much as possible!

Yes and so is my spouse and anyone else in regular contact with my baby.

Yes!! The flu is so much more dangerous for babies than healthy adults. And even when protection isn’t 100% it’s still reducing your risk of getting sick.
Even before I had a baby I always got the flu shot- my mother had an organ transplant and has a suppressed immune system as a result. The flu could kill her. Even if you think you and your baby are strong and healthy, the flu can be deadly for other people you know.
I live in BC and the flu shot is free to anyone with a child under 5 years old. In other provinces it’s probably the same.

Absolutely, they can’t get it until they’re 6 months so why wouldn’t I? 😌

Unfortunately I can’t get the flu shot because I have an auto immune disease. So thank you to everyone else who gets the shot to protect me and my baby!
