38 weeks and 1 Day
Its finally time to share the birth story of my rainbow baby ! At about 37 weeks apparently I failed one of my NST and recieved a call to go to labor and delivery so they can monitor the baby , well they checked me and I was 3 , almost 4 Cm and I was having contractions but I didn't feel them so they sent me home , on Oct 8 at night I had to use the bathroom so I asked my husband to help me up , I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me closer to the edge of the bed I felt my water break , it was a small gush but it went through my underwear , my husband freaked out and asked if it was time and I told him, hold on let me go to the bathroom , I went in expecting to feel more water but I just peed but when I wiped I had a small strip of pinkish red.
I went to labor and deliver and on the way there I could feel the contractions coming , we got there around midnight and they checked me I was 4.5cm so I was in active labor and they started my IV , around 4am they checked me again and I was at 7cm and that's when I wanted to get some pain medicine, they gave me stadol and it was horrible , I've never felt so out of it , it felt like I was on a heavy drug but it did distract me from the contractions because I forgot I was in labor , my mom shows up about half an hour later and I ask the nurse how long the medication lasts because I felt so out of it and she said about an hour or two , so time passes and it's around 6am when the drugs were wearing off and I can feel the contractions slowly coming back , she checked me and I was at 9cm and she said a couple more contractions and I could start pushing , I felt them getting stronger and around 7am she checked me again and I was at 10cm but had a little lip of my cervix so about 4 contractions later I felt the urge to push and the doctor and nurses rushed in but I felt like the baby wasn't going to fit ! So I pushed twice and stopped for about 10 minutes breathing through the contractions, I was super sweaty I wanted to rip off my hospital gown and the nurses told me I had to push with each contraction otherwise we were gonna be there all day. So i started pushing and by the 3rd push i felt like i was gonna pass out , the next contraction came and I pushed once and I was crowning , they nurse told me to push through the pain so I did and in the next push he was out at 7:30am 10/09/2019 he was 7lbs and 4oz luckily I only had a 1st degree tear but it was all worth it I was due October 22nd but he couldn't wait !
