Military mom?

Question

Anyone go to the military while baby was still young? Before 1 year perhaps? Can’t do anything until baby is 6 months. Any experience or advice.

What branch? I had a good friend who was a single parent joining the Marine Corps, she had to give power of attorney to her mother to join and go through Boot Camp, when she was done and at her first duty station she was able to have her son. Personally, however! as a single parent in the Marine Corps right now, I can say that it’s not easy, but it’s doable.  You just need to find a good support system and make sure your chain of command is understanding. I’ve been in a little over 8 years and my son is almost 8 months, so if you have questions or need anything at all, feel free to hit me up! 👏
