How will I know ?

She is 6 months already, but every time I give her purée banana or apple or anything else she tends to close her mouth and push the spoon away. She will get one or two bites, but that’s it. How will I know she is ready??? How long should I wait to try again??

I did the same with my son. We started with the bananas and apples. He hates both. Still. So I moved to veggies.. he loves them! Specifically carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes are his favorite. Turns out he’s just a savory boy and not too big on sweets.

My Pediatrician just gave us paperwork on this. You should only try 1-2 tablespoons at a time and it may take 10-15 tries (not at once of course but over a span of days) for your baby to be interested in it. I hope that helps!

Every baby is different. I started my baby off with carrots with 8 spoonfuls and he loved it.. then the other week he ate sweet potatoes. Now he is eating a small baby bowl of apple sauce puree, banana but hates peas.
