Should the government set limit on how much sugar is allowed in snacks for babies and toddlers?

🙂🙃

I just read this article about how much added sugar is in baby foods, toddler snacks, toddler formula, etc. With the rise in childhood obesity and the obvious link between obesity and sugar consumption, should the government step in and mandate limits on how much sugar can be put in these types of snacks? If you aren’t for limiting the sugar, do you think there should be less advertising for these types of products, or maybe warning labels on infant/toddler snacks stating what the daily amount of sugar a child of that age should be having? Any other ideas?

The articles pretty long but the link is https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/10/17/sweet-excess-how-baby-food-industry-hooks-toddlers-sugar-salt-fat/%3foutputType=amp

I’ve posted a couple screenshots from the article below.
