is it too clingy to ask my boyfriend to text me more or at least put more effort into talking to me? i dont like texting, but i at least put effort into texting him. he has such bland answers. then ill be like “i don’t know what to talk about, so i’m gonna do homework” and he’ll be like “noooo dont go” like okay then what are we going to talk about? i cant carry the conversation the entire time. we hang out pretty often too and it’s so much fun, but there’s days in between where we don’t because i have a job. that’s another thing, he’s not even busy. he doesn’t have a job yet and won’t be starting college until next spring. i go to school and work and i still make time to text him and basically text him back within a few minutes. i don’t need him to text me back like i do, i’ve just always been good at texting back, i just wish he had more detailed answers. when i ask if i bore him he just says he doesn’t know what to say. i GET IT because i rarely do with him. i just don’t want to seem like an asshole if he really can’t think about what to say or if he’s just not putting forth the effort like i do. i guess my question is, would it be rude/clingy of me to ask my boyfriend to put in more effort to text me?
