How many months are we?

What the heck, I’m starting to think I Should not be allowed to do math. This whole 40 week/ 8 month thing is killing me! People ask how far along I am and even when I say 20 weeks they say “no how many months?”  
I’ve seen all the charts but I don’t get it🤯 Am I 4.5 months since I’m halfway? Am I 5 months? Or am I IN my 5th month?
Idk why I care lol.

Well since 40 weeks is almost 10 months and not 9 like most people think that’s probably why your feeling confused.

Technically it’s 10 months not 9... really bugs me when people say 40 weeks is 9 months. There are not 5-6 weeks in a goddamn month. 4.5 maybe..
Anyway I go by 10 months personally so I follow the 4 week is a month rule. So when I’m 20 weeks I’ll say I’m 5 months pregnant.
Otherwise it’s just easier to say ‘I’m 20 weeks’

It’s confusing because there are two weeks that are counted before you even conceived. The table posted is the most accurate one I have seen! Hope that helps :).
