Lighter period?

How long does it take for your period to become lighter on birth control? I am on my 5th or 6th month of ortho tri cyclen lo and it hasn't changed very much.

Try going to the doctors and getting a different pill, the doctors can change it if it's not changing your periods or cramps

I've been on the pill for approximately a year now. The flow is a lot less but my cramps have no change. But even though my cramps are still very awful, my period is much shorter than what it used to be!

It just depends on the person I think, mine took several months to start making mine lighter.

Mine took six years, and lots of changes by my doctor, for my flow to lighten up.  But even now there are still some months that are much heavier than others.

I've been on the pill for 5 years and my periods are still flowing like the mighty Waikato(NZers will get that) I'm on brevinor one though
