FTM here, <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> pregnancy so it was quite a journey to get to 38 weeks pregnant 🥰

Partner was at football so i rolled into bed, woke up around 11:30pm with what I would describe as mild period pains but just went back to sleep. Woke up at 2am because who sleeps well at 38 weeks 😂 went downstairs to get a cuppa and hear a pop! There goes my waters but still in no pain so actually think ive wet myself 🙈. Go back up and wake my partner, get changed just in case and put a film on. After a short while realise I havent felt any movement for a bit so ring L&D. They tell me to come in to have a quick go on the monitor but leave all the hospital bags in the car as i would be going home.

Pack the car and get to the hospital where the midwife was waiting in triage, she hands me a sample cup but I couldnt wee! A little pain just crept up on me then and I had to stop talking mid sentence. I sat down on the triage bed and the midwife starts strapping the monitor on. Another 2 pains like severe period pains and it feels like im going to poo my pants 🙈 she said she wants to do an internal to see if im dilating but leave my top on as ill probably be going home for a bit. As my leggings come off another gush of water, 1 contraction and 6 minutes after getting to the hospital little princess made her grand entrance! Took longer to stitch me up than get her out (and hurt more). First time mums can defo have quick labours and deliver early! Didnt even get to try gas and air! Consultants have told me next time they want me camped outsode the hospital at 37 weeks 😂😂
