HSV2 while pregnant?

I found  out 7 years ago that I have genital herpes. I am 36 weeks pregnant I have had  only one outbreak in my first trimester  I haven't had any more I am taking Acyclovir for two weeks  since I will be getting induced at 38 weeks  Now I know it's getting closer and closer to the delivery I am getting so petrified.  so scared. What if the baby catches it?   !!!!! Anybody with Hsv2 has had a vaginal birth and baby didn’t catch it ???

I have HSV1 down there, and was able to deliver vaginally. I took Valtrex as well.

It’s incredibly safe to deliver naturally while having HSV2. If you’re taking the Valtrax daily until you have your baby, the risk of passing it along is minimal. Plus, because you’ve had an outbreak in early pregnancy, your body has created antibodies for baby to help protect it 😊
