do i have chlamydia ? PLS REPLY!!

i went and got a pap smear from my obgyn and they called and prescribed me metronidazole 500mg & a high high dose of doxycycline.... they never said if i had chlamydia or not because my grandma answered the phone and they couldn’t tell her anything. do i just have a bacterial infection or is it something worse ?? I CANT CALL THE OFFICE BACK TILL MONDAY!!

Nurse practitioner here- Metronidazole 500 mg is used to treat BV (bacterial vaginosis) a bacterial infection not an STD. Not sure what the doxy is for. Can you tell me the milligrams? And if you have any allergies

Metronidazole can also be used to treat Trichomoniasis, a parasitic std. I work in health care. But ultimately you should speak with your doctor for your lab results.

Google what you have been given it will tell what the drugs are usually prescribed for x

Doxy is an antibiotic. I know they usually prescribe azithromycin for chlamydia. If u want to be sure call back the md office

Metro is for bv and doxy is chlamidia or syphilis and some others.
