Joint or shared account? Experiences? Please give advice!

We have a joint and then our own, we funnel money into the joint for house, vacation, etc. works well for us

Joint is easier for us, I love it. We both work, but I'm more organized and he travels for work so I pay the bills with whatever money is in the account so we don't miss anything. It's also way easier to keep track of unnecessary spending and budget for anything we may need.
We don't keep track of who's money pays what, it's in the account so it's both of ours.

We each have a spending account and have a joint account for most expenses. It isn’t necessary but works for us!

My husband and I have both, but really only because we’re lazy lol. I have my account and our joint account for big stuff and those are both with my bank, and he still has his account he’s had since before we got together. We are always talking about how we should combine everything into the joint account because we are both agreed that all the money is both of ours, but most of our bills are set to automatically come out of his account (he makes a lot more money than I do) so it’s just going to be a project to get all of them switched over so his auto deposit can go to the joint account. I know his login and everything, so it’s not like we would ever hide anything from each other, we just haven’t gotten around to actually combining it all.

Joint. Only thing separate is credit cards (that way we can still surprise each other at Christmas 😂) 
Once married, it’s all each other’s money anyways so we didn’t see the point in it being separated. Plus it makes the bills soo much easier. Everything is just autopay out of our joint account so we don’t have to figure out who pays what- it’s all ours and we don’t nitpick over who pays more.
