Cheated on

Hey Guys,

I don't really post on here but I wanted to get this out.

My girlfriend cheated on me before we got back together. I know it sounds weird, but I count it as cheating because we had said we were exclusive at that time. She went on a trip to visit a friend and she ended up hooking up with someone. She called me the next morning and was completely honest with me, which I appreciated. I was going to call things off, but she was extremely apologetic. She explained that she had made a mistake and when she got back home, she wrote me hand written notes, bought me flowers and asked me to officially be her girlfriend. She reassures me pretty much every day that this will not happen again, and that she is deeply sorry and deeply regretful. Some time has passed now. I forgive her, and it's in the past. We have even gone to therapy. But sometimes it still hurts me, I don't know. Just wanted to get this out.

Things are honestly GREAT between us, couldn't be better. I just idk wanted to see if anyone else has been through it and how they stopped thinking about it. Thanks.
