Making labor come faster?!

I’m 38 +6 and I am ready for my son to be here!! I am so uncomfortable!! My ob checked me Wednesday and I was a half cm dilated and 20% thinned out. 
How can I make labor come faster?! I am so ready for him to be here!

Well, the hard truth is that while you might be ready for baby to come, baby might not be ready to be born yet! You can try walking, bouncing on birthing ball, sex, nipple stimulation... but odds are that if baby is not ready yet, nothing will happen. I was so uncomfortable the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy, after week 38 I tried every safe method out there. But he came at 40+5, stubborn little guy! 🙂

I’m 38+6 and I’m not even dilated nor effaced yet but my OB could definitely feel his head. Honestly as others said babies come when they are ready 😩. I’m sure there are things you can do though? Try walking ? That’s what I’m going to do more of.

I’ve been walking 2 miles every evening for about 2 weeks and feel like that’s helping. I’m 38+4 and ob said yesterday she doesn’t think I’ll make it to 40. I think the walking is helping me progress, definitely have a lot more contractions after my walk each night

They say walking and sex are the 2 most effective ways to help.  Also the bouncing on the ball, hip circles, eating dates, etc
