Average number of eggs for IVF?

Is there a number that’s like “oh you have XX number off eggs getting big. This is a super successful cycle!”?
I went yesterday and the dr counted 6 eggs that were measurable and I start cetrotide tomorrow. She didn’t really tell me anything else. I can only afford to do one egg retrieval and I have no clue if I’m doing well this time.

I just went through this. At the consult they counted 16 so I was expecting more. Then in my IVF cycle I had only 6 follicles. I was disappointed but the doctor thought it was good. I ended up with 7 eggs which resulted in three frozen embryos. Everyone says quality over quantity. I have no idea what the average is but hang in there. 6 might be your lucky number! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I haven’t done ivf, but I have started seeing a specialist and I’m just about done with all of my testing. They counted 7 antral
follicles post period and I was told that was normal. I thought anything below 10 was low, but she said it varies from cycle to cycle. Also, I’m assuming this is prior to starting your hormone injections? I heard that a good egg retrieval is anything from 12 eggs+, but I honestly haven’t gone through it so I can’t be sure. All that matters is that you have 1 healthy embryo to implant - good luck to you!!
