I got my Copper IUD in on the 17th and the doctor did need to use quite a bit of silver nitrate to stop bleeding. It also happened to be right before I ovulated. Everytime I pee, I get bloody stringy discharge (lots due to ovulation?) and it is so heavy that it falls to the bottom of the toilet (gross toilet pic, sorry 😅). Plus there are little gray bits that have been coming out (the silver nitrate?). Is this normal?

I'm not bleeding through anything and it is definitely spotting, but there's just a lot going on 😂 I have a follow-up on the 6th and I'll talk to the doctor if it is still happening, but I wanted to see if other people have had this?

**Update** lighter bleeding today and no strings of discharge. Also none of those gray bits. Hopefully this means I'm on the mend
