Implantation bleeding or period???

Yesterday I started to spot (old brown blood) and it’s still going on today but it’s light. A few days before I had been feeling little needles or pin pricks were going on in my lower abdomen with light cramping to follow. Yesterday I felt dizzy and nauseous. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. I’m 10 dpo (going off the app) and 4 days from my period. I’m only on two months of being off of birth control. Am I too close to my period for it to be implantation bleeding and is this just the start of my period?
