Did my water break??

Okay so I'm currently 38 weeks and 1 day. At my last doctors Friday appointment I was 75% effaced and 3cm dilated. This morning I decided to try the midwives brew as my OB said it was okay to try. I finished it at about 8am and started having contractions 10-15 minutes apart at around 1pm. It's now almost 5 hours later and contractions died down, so I started to do laundry. As I went to take the clothes from the washer to the dryer I noticed my inner thighs and my bfs boxers were wet. I went to the bathroom right after and was able to pee still, so I checked the smell of the fluid and it smelled sort of sweet. I don't want to rush to the hospital to get sent home again (I live 40 minutes away) so I'm laying down for a little to see if I'll get a gush of liquid to come out..
