What did early labor feel like for you??

I’ve been having strong “period” cramping and some shooting pains in my back. How long before you went into active labor?

I had the same thing, only at night really, for about a week. Then on my actual due date, my contractions started off in the afternoon (they usually would kick off in the middle of the night so early afternoon was different that day) and then started progressively becoming more consistent. About 12 hours later they were to the point that I couldn’t talk through them, couldn’t walk, nothing helped to ease the pain except breathing. They very quickly went from 7-8 min apart to 3-4 min apart so had to high tail it to the hospital.

That’s exactly how labor started with my first. Each hour getting progressively worse. I wasn’t in active labor until like 10-12 hrs later though
