Do you like your job?

Question

There are pros and cons to every job but how many people go to work to a job they hate every day? Or, are you lucky and the good outweighs the bad?
My answer...This is my 4th year teaching and I’ve never really liked it (last year was absolutely horrible). I have a good set up this year but I still don’t know if I want to do this job for the rest of my life. I’m wondering if this is just something everyone deals with. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m a waitress and i hate my job, but the money makes it well worth it. I only hate it because most of my customers are old and stuck in their ways with shit, and you can never seem to please them.

I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. I went to school for makeup so I work at a makeup store but it’s alright I guess. I’m just tired of all these fucking assholes stealing all the time

All teachers deal with this. I’m in my 8th year teaching and it’s been the most tumultuous start to a year of my career. Despite the anger and frustration with admin, I love working with the kids. That keeps me going :) 
Teaching isn’t for everyone and it’s okay if it’s not for you. But truly reflect on your “why” before you decide. The best advice I received as a young teacher - “You’re not in the wrong profession. You’re in the wrong school.”

I don't have any fancy job. But it's perfect for me. I just work the front desk at a gym. I love my clients and when I'm not with them I just clean. Its part time and short shifts. And they have shifts at all times of the day so everytime my husband's job changed his schedule I was able to switch mine. It's not much, but it's fun, easy, and i can take off whenever I need to for my baby.
You spend too much time at work not to like your job. Maybe the other commenter is onto something, maybe try looking into a different school?

I work in a library, in the children’s department. I get to read books, do art projects, play with kids, and make displays. I get a ton of creative freedom and learn all sorts of things.

Teaching has the 2nd highest burnout rate compared to ER techs and doctors. If you say you have never liked teaching since day one? I'm sorry you went into the wrong field. Teaching is incredibly fun and inspiring. I've had extremely difficult days where I've questioned myself and wanted to cry and I've had extremely good days where my children were like Angels and giving gifts and playing games with me. The people around you while you teach honestly make or break you. Their attitude will lighten or darken yours depending on what energy they start with. You sound like you need to find a new field to work in. What do you even like to do? What do you find interesting? My foraging makes an excellent basis for my science/nature lessons as well as cooking if I get the ingredients and permission.

I work for myself. I clean houses and offices. I love walking into a lived in messy house and walking out leaving it behind all clean. There’s something so satisfying about it! But I love to clean, organize, do laundry, iron, house work kinda stuff. My least favorite is the spring cleaning. But when I’m done I’m glad I did if! It looks so good when I finish. Not bragging but when something’s dirty and you clean it. It’s just so satisfying!!!! So yes I love my job!!!!! But its not for everybody.  You just have to find what you like, and try something that you don’t think you’ll like. You might end up loving it:))
