i've adopted all the animals i own tbh. breeders will almost always find a good home for their animals, and i'm skeptical of the ethics of pet shops.

All of my pets have come from breeders - I’m only 18, and was young when we got all of our pets. 
I’m skeptical of the ethics of pet shops, as another commenter said. 
I guess my family didn’t think about rescuing, but I definitely would in the future. 
That being said, I haven’t had a bad experience with breeders and I believe they always find good homes for their pups and kittens. 
Blessed with 3 dogs and a cat with no complications ☺️

Our cats are both rescues but our dogs are from breeders. We looked around at several shelters for dogs but my dad had his heart set on labradors so that's what we went with

I rescued my German shepherd eleven years ago (my boy is going strong and happy as ever) and I have purchased two Cornish Rex cats from a breeder. My SO and I emailed multiple people until we found a breeder we were comfortable with. I don’t trust pet shops, either. If I could save all of the animals, I definitely would.

Both my cats are rescues. They were both abandoned by their moms as kittens. They are the sweetest.
