Should someone released recently from the hospital hold my baby?

My husband's 90 year-old great aunt was just in the hospital last week for gall bladder issues. She was admitted yesterday for similar issues and released. I am feeling very nervous about having my 5 week old around her or letting her touch her. I know the in-laws may try to bully me into it. :-/
Is she safe to be held or at risk for MRSA, RSV or any other hospital disease? What would you do?

That's a tough one. Definitely don't do anything you're not comfortable with. But on the other hand, my husband works as a security guard inside a hospital and he holds our baby more than I do. So since she didn't have anything contagious I personally wouldn't have a problem wirh it if it were my baby. But again, its ultimately your call 😊

If she had active symptoms like sneezing and diarrhea like you mentioned on the other comment, I would say no.
But if she were otherwise fine aside from the hospital stay, I would say yes just with lots of hand hygiene and no kisses!
