READ IF YOU SHOP AT ZARA
This is gonna be a long post but worth a read if you shop at zara.
The first time i went to zara with my baby i asked if i could use a fitting room to feed and change my baby and the very nice employee had OFFERED me the lactation room. Unfortunately at the time i didnt get to use it as it was occupied by another customer so the employee gave me the big fitting room and even used a rack to block off the area so i wouldnt be disturbed (love her).
So the next time i was at the same store i asked to use the room because my baby was becoming fussy. The employee i asked went to ask her manager if someone was in it and the manager said "its for employees only" i was kinda confused so i tried to tell her i was told otherwise the last time and before i could even finish she says "if you have a problem i can give you the corperate number" 😠
Now i work in customer service and ive worked retail also so i know how frustrating it is when a customer makes a scene and gets angry thats why i made sure to speak politely i wasnt angry it was just confusing cause i was told two different things. I left the store without arguing but it bothered me so i reached out to them through the chat feature on their website and this was their responce 👇
if the store has a lactation room YOU AS A CUSTOMER CAN USE THE LACTATION ROOM. Im glad i reached out because its very convenient (i personally am not comfortable breastfeeding in public) and lets me continue shopping.
Anyways i will go back to that store and im going to make sure all the employees see this so other moms dont get turned away because of miscommunication.
And thats why i wanted to share with you guys, feel free to use my screenshots if you need 😊.
