FTM and I have a 5 day old that screams bloody murder what seems like all the time. We feed her and sometimes she will sleep afterwards and other times she won’t do anything but scream for hours off and on until the next feeding. We have been feeding every three hours. Last night I thought maybe we were starting to cluster feed so I fed whenever she cried but it didn’t seem to work. We also feed her til she falls asleep or falls off but 5 min later she’ll give signs she wants to feed again and I’ll try but she won’t latch. She will shake her head side to side. My milk just came in last night. She has not pooped in 24 hours but has peed today. (She had two bowel movements yesterday morning) We called the triage nurse and she said it was normal to go with out pooping since they are trying to figure out how and she may be experiencing some Colic. But the screaming all night is emotionally exhausting. Anyone else with a similar situation? How do you cope? When do things get better?
