Baby led weaning mamas

So we’ve been doing blw for about a month now, but since he’s started daycare (right at the 6 month mark) he’s been sick a few times. When he’s sick he doesn’t like to eat so at this point, a month in he’s still not taking much (if anything) down. My question is, are your blw babies actually eating yet?

He also just wants to play with his utensils/ cup if I offer them. If I don’t offer them he will more actively try food... so not sure what to do about that either?
