Did your Braxton Hicks stop a day or so before labor?

Question

Yesterday was the most abnormal normal day ever. 
I had zero cramps, zero Braxton Hicks, and baby girl was barely moving. I went in to l&d to get checked and she was fine. Today I’m back to normal. Lots of movement lots of bh and cramping. I’m 39 weeks now. How many of you had things quiet down before labor started? 
I’m looking for some hope because I have been 1cm, thick, and high for 5 weeks now! I’m hoping labor is soon!!

With my first had a ton of Braxton Hicks the 3 days before I went into labor. Then they progressively got more regular and closer together and turned into actual contractions. So no, not in my case 🤷

Yep! I was having Braxton Hicks for weeks. Then the day before and morning of labor, they completely stopped. I remember being on the phone with my mom telling her how great I felt and haven’t had any contractions what so ever. Then at 130pm, they just all of a sudden started again and after 2 hours, I noticed they were coming every 4 minutes and getting stronger. Went into labor and delivery to get checked at 4:15pm and I was at 6cm already!
