Going to family thanksgiving??

Question

I’m due Nov 17th with my first and have a lot of family events coming up... thanksgiving, brother in laws wedding on dec 1 etc.
Anyway, if baby comes on time will I be up for these events that shortly after birth (1-2 weeks) and should I bring baby or have a grandparent watch her? I live in the midwest where it gets cold and that’s usually the time of the year when all types of germs are around, but I don’t know if I’ll be ready to leave her yet either lol 😖 
What do you guys think or what are your plans for the holidays with your new little ones?

I also live in the midwest.. I plan on getting out of the house as soon as I feel physically able. I plan on walking to restaurants and coffee shops and going to friends houses. I will also be bringing baby to thanksgiving at a friends house where there will be maybe 15 or so people. Sheltering babies from all germs isn’t good for them but obviously encouraging hand washing and avoiding people who are ill are important precautions to take. I also have friends who are super considerate and would never hold the baby if they thought there was the slightest chance they were sick.

I would take my baby with me and keep her close and covered.
As for me my plans is to stay home just because my family and I always go every year to my parents and his family house.  Plus the flu season made it that much easier to make that decision.

Yeah if it was my smaller in town family thanksgiving I would take her. I have a large extended family though that thanksgiving will be an hour and half away at my aunts and probably 20-30 people. Then obviously the wedding will be even more than that!
For baby wear you mean just in a wrap or something right?

I’m due Nov 3rd and have let everyone know I’m not sure what our plan is. Besides dealing with a newborn and that schedule... remember you’ll be going through postpartum care as well. Do you want to bring all babies stuff and all your postpartum stuff? Are you going to be comfortable? You don’t want to overdue it and prolong that process either. I say go with the flow and see how it plays out with how you feel. Flu season as well is a concern.

I totally get it. This year I told my family and friends that I won’t be attending events because of the baby and they totally understand.

We are staying home for all major holidays because we would like oute beachy to spend holidays in oute house smud have people come over.

I live 3 hours away from family. Due Nov 9. My husband will work on Thanksgiving. I can't imagine I'd be ready to drive that distance by myself with a newborn. Also can't imagine I'd be ok being alone on the holiday with a newborn. So my family is coming to me for Thanksgiving. For Christmas, we will travel to them. 
I'd say you know yourself best and whatever you honestly think you'd be comfortable or uncomfortable with, you should base your decisions on that.

I’m taking my baby at 3 weeks old (scheduled CS) to our family thanksgiving at my parents and then at in laws house. I won’t miss the food lol. And I’m most likely gonna be going to Walmart or Target within a week of having her too. I don’t do baby wear so idk about that.
